Sonos Play1 Speakers

The Sonos speakers are hands down some of the most finely crafted pieces of tech out there today. Sonos makes a point to focus on every aspect and detail from the sound quality and aesthetic design to the user experience when setting up and interacting with the device. Here is the Sonos Play1 speaker.

Build Quality

The Play1 is the smallest of the Sonos product line and allows for easy placement anywhere in the house. Even though the material used is mostly plastic, the speaker in hand has a very solid and premium feel. Starting at the top of the speaker, you will find physical three buttons designated to control the volume up, volume down, and play/pause functions. On the back of the speaker, you will find a 1/4-20 female thread allowing you to mount on the wall if you want to purchase wall mounting hardware or attached to a stand. Underneath the unit is where you will find the power cord connection. The custom molded power cable that comes with the speaker shows how much attention to detail that Sonos puts into their products. Finally, the bottom of the speaker has a rubber foot, so the speaker will grip well and not vibrate on surfaces when playing music with a lot of bass.

Services that work with it

Sonos has some of the best support for the many services available. Of those services, you will find Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Google Play Music, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Tidal, Plex (Beta), Sound Cloud, SiriusXM, Slacker, and Last.fm. Lesser known services such as 7Digital, Murfie, Batanga, Dar.FM and Hearts of Space. As diverse as Sonos is with the available services it still is missing some other names but they certainly cover the important ones.
